DANVERS- Vincent Salvatore Liguori passed peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on February 21, 2021. He was the husband of Theresa (Hureau) Liguori with whom he shared 72+ years of marriage. Born in Cambridge on January 27, 1928, he was the son of the late Ferdinando and Sylvia (Buccioni) Liguori of Salerno, Italy. He was raised in Somerville (class of 1946) and served our country within the United States Army at the Occupation of Japan during WWII and was honorably discharged. Vincent attended Burdett College in Boston and received his associate’s degree in Accounting. Along with two classmates, he pursued his business career at Olmsted-Flint, Inc. in Cambridge, a wholesaler of industrial power transmission equipment. He purchased the company in 1968 and ran it for over 50 years. Vincent was a welcoming and lovable man proud of his Italian heritage. He was selfless and always eager to lend a hand. He enjoyed boating, fishing, Marco Island and his summer home on Cape Cod. He was one of the original members of the Danversport Yacht Club. Vin was a very social guy, he enjoyed talking to everyone and had a great sense of humor. His outgoing personality led him to have many long lasting friendships of all ages. He was loved by everyone who knew him. In addition to his wife Theresa, he is survived by his five children, Vincent Liguori and wife Marie of Wells, Maine; Donna Jewett and husband Frederic of Boxford; Jean Vaccaro and husband Mark of Chelmsford; Judy Liguori of Danvers; and Randy Liguori and wife Elaine of South Hadley. He also leaves nine grandchildren—Jay, Nicholas, Teresa, Julie, Kayla, Matthew, Danielle, Kyle, and Erika, and six great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Armand Liguori, Fred Liguori and Mary Breton and his grandson Joseph Liguori. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11AM on Friday, February 26, 2021 in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Lake St., Peabody. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Vincent's name to the Wounded Warrior Project. Special thanks to Care Dimensions (hospice) of Danvers for their incredible support and guidance. As well as the Veterans Administration and M&L Prodigy Health Care for their amazing and compassionate staff of wonderful caregivers.
