Virginia M. Marino

PEABODY- Virginia Marino, 92, passed away on January 18, 2016. She was the loving wife of Sullivan Marino who preceded her in death in 1969. Born in Malden on July 16, 1924, she was a lifelong resident of Peabody. She was the devoted mother of four children, Robert Marino and wife Donna of Peabody, Jane Peterson and husband Dale of Danvers, Paul Marino and Donna Dunham of Danvers and Michael Marino and wife Christine of Peabody. She was the loving grandmother to Jeffrey and wife Karen Peterson, Jon and wife Kimberly Peterson, Sam Marino and fiancée Annmarie Turner, Ryan, Jenny, Kelly, Hannah and Sullivan Marino; beloved sister of Thomas Sheehan, Mary Gaudet, Patricia Stickney, Barbara Lovett and Helen Talent. She was preceded in death by her grandson Ben Marino and dear friend Charles Marchetti.
Ginny had a passion for antiques and enjoyed traveling to auctions and yard sales in the New England area. She was an avid reader and a collector of old books. She enjoyed trips to Foxwoods with friends and family to play the slot machines. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and dear friends.
Her funeral services were held privately. Expressions of sympathy can be made to Haven from Hunger, 71 Wallis Street, Peabody, MA, 01923.
To my good friends Bob, Donna,Jane, Dale and all the Marino’s my sincere condolences in the passing of your mom. It is always a tough time when one so close and loved leaves us, but if there is good news her memories live on. Although difficult now, it is those memories and little things that will come to you in the future will bring a smile of rememberance to you all. Again I am really sorry to hear about your mom.
