Born in: Salem, Massachusetts
Resided in: Danvers, Massachusetts

Wayne Martin Parker, beloved husband of Kathleen Mary (Pennell) (Minahan) Parker passed away peacefully after a brief illness on his 75th birthday, November 12, 2025.

Born in Salem, Wayne was the son of the late H Glenfield Parker and Miriam (Darcy) (Parker) Nee. Raised and educated in Danvers, Wayne was a 1969 graduate of Danvers High School.

Growing up on the water in Danversport, Wayne enjoyed many years of
swimming, fishing, skiing and boating on the Danvers River. This was the start of a lifelong obsession Wayne had with boats, especially fast boats.

From an early age, Wayne worked with his father at Parker The Chimney Man, and with his brothers and father at Parker’s Island Marina, where the family created many lasting memories. At the age of 14 Wayne was in a boating accident that left him with a lifetime of back pain and operations. At 15, Wayne’s father passed away, ending the adventures at Parker’s Island, which later became part of the Danversport Yacht Club.

The chimney business was carried on by Wayne’s Brother Glen, then at the age of twenty-five Wayne took over the family business thus proudly becoming “Parker The Chimney Man”. For the next 40 years, Wayne would clean, rebuild, point up and fix thousands of chimneys and brick buildings throughout the Northshore. Having his son Glen and later his grandson Nathan work with him, made it extra special.

Wayne lived life to the fullest, enjoying many cars, trucks, motorcycles, but mostly boats.

As a long time member of the Danvers Polish Club, Wayne could be found telling jokes and sharing laughs with his many friends.

Over the years he loved to host family cookouts, pool parties, and horseshoe tournaments, aptly named Wayne’s World. He also loved working in his yard and had a passion for creating decorative landscaping.

Wayne and Kathy loved dancing, going on cruises and traveling to resorts all over the Caribbean. The last four years they spent winters enjoying their home in Port Charlotte, FL.

Besides his wife Kathleen, Wayne leaves behind his son Glenfield Parker and his companion Sarah, his grandson Nathan, his granddaughter Kayla Smith and her husband Kris and great-grandchildren Hayden and Nolan Smith. Siblings Darryl Parker and his wife Kathleen of Danvers, Marlene Oster and her husband Robert of Danvers, Jeannine Parker of Exeter, NH, Gail Parker of Fort Pierce, FL, sister-in-law Linda Parker, former wife Suzanne Parker and stepsons Barry and Jeff Douglas. Wayne also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his brother Glenfield Parker, grandson Patrick Parker and stepfather Paul Nee.

Wayne will be deeply missed by his family and friends, for his sense of humor, adventurous spirit, and most of all his friendship.
