MIDDLETON- Wendy J. (Stromberg) Pittman, 57, passed away on July 14, 2016 in Beverly Hospital. She was the fiancée of Thomas J. MacDonald.
Born in Beverly on June 14, 1959, she was the daughter of James and Shirley (Landergren) Stromberg of Boxford. She was raised and educated in Boxford and graduated from Masconomet High School in 1977. Wendy was the ultimate homemaker, she loved crafting and gardening. She was loving, giving and always put her family first.
She is also survived by her son, Justin T. Pittman of Salem, her three siblings, Jeff Stromberg of Peabody, Laurie Wright of Sanford, ME and Kristin Pare of Methuen and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Wendy’s life will be held at 11AM on Saturday, July 23, 2016 in the Second Congregational Church, 173 Washington St, West Boxford; a luncheon immediately following in the Parish Hall. There are no visiting hours and the burial is private. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Wendy’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
It breaks my heart that my “Swedish Friend” has passed! Wendy was so sweet, full of life and love! Memories of her will stay with me forever.
My deepest condolences for your loss. Thank you for the picture that you posted here as it perfectly captures my memories of her and enjoy that she conveyed. The world has lost a great heart.

I send the Stromberg family, Jeff, Laurie, and Kristen my sympathies,
Every morning when the Masco bus stopped at the Campgrpund Road driveway to pick up the Strombergs, I shifted out of my morning grogginess as I think everyone else did to eagerly watch effervescent Wendy walked up the bus stairs, make the corner turn, and strut down the catwalk, er bus aisle. She was always so confidently put together and fashion forward with her latest look. I remember seeing gaucho pants for the first time when Wendy wore them. She embraced the attention we all freely gave to her. She was magnetic in the way she pulled us in day in and day out for all those high school years.
Pam also had some kind, sweet words to say to me about Wendy when she saw her at a recent Masco reunion. Pam sends her sympathies as well.. Anthea Fasano Gagnon
As a child, I always thought my Boston cousins were so cool. They ate lobster and rode horses and had a fun accent. I always remember seeing pictures of Wendy, and thought she was sooo pretty. I’ll never forget the purple bath suit photo on the cover of Boston magazine, I think. Visiting them as an adult, I loved getting to know them better, and now that we have email, Ancestors.com and Facebook, it’s so much easier to keep in touch. All of the family here in Chicago is saddened by the loss of Wendy. She is survived by a loving family of awesome supporters. God bless Strombergs!

Wendy, so many gifts you gave! Your infectious smile, your joy and love when we

My deepest sympathy goes out to Tom, Justin, Wendy’s Mom & Dad, her brother, sisters and the rest of her family. She was a beautiful person in every respect and holds a special place in heart. The thought of her passing is very painful.
Ditto!
I was so sorry to learn of Wendy’s passing. She was so lovely and life affirming. I have such great memories of being with your family at Ferncroft in the 1980s. Blessings and comfort in this time of sorrow.

So sorry to here the sad news of Wendy’s passing. My wife and I worked with her at the ferncroft years ago and she was always so positive and such a gentle kind soul. God bless her and her family …
Still seems so inconceivable. We were just kids yesterday, Wendy.
