William A. Taylor

William A. Taylor, 67, died suddenly on June 19, 2018. He was the loving husband of Pamela (Goolishian) Taylor, with whom he shared 44 years of marriage.
Born in Lynn on May 23, 1951, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Genevieve (McGinn) Taylor. He was raised and educated in Marblehead and was a graduate of Marblehead High School, Class of 1969.
Bill was employed for twenty-five years at Somerville Lumber, a career he loved where he made many dear friends.
A lifelong musician, he loved performing and writing music. He was an avid golfer and was a member at the Province Lake Golf Club in Parsonsfield, ME and the Crown Park Golf Club in Longs, SC. He loved camping and attending bluegrass festivals every summer.
He also enjoyed boating on Ossipee Lake and lobstering with his father out of Marblehead harbor.
A longtime Danvers resident, Bill and his wife had recently resided in Longs, SC and Freedom, NH, where they had a vacation home for many years.
In addition to his wife, he leaves a son, Kenneth Taylor and his wife April Burton of Newark, CA, a daughter, Patricia Taylor of Danvers, two sisters, Cynthia Gibbon and her husband Daniel and Denise Drozdowicz and her husband Richard, all of Danvers, and several nieces and nephews.
A Reception honoring Bill’s life will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at the Polish Club, Cheever St., Danvers. Please drop in between 10am and 2pm to share stories and memories with Bill’s family and friends. Kindly omit flowers. Instead, donations in his memory may be made to the Danvers People-to-People Food Pantry, PO Box 2076, Danvers, MA 01923.

Pam and family, we are so sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. We looked forward to camping with him every year at the Ossipee Music Festival. He will deeply be missed. Our prayers are with his loved ones during this time. Love, Cara, Jon and Farmer
Pam, it is hard to believe that Bill is not here with his guitar and warm, full voice to sing and play his songs. His warm and friendly presence will be sorely missed. so sorry for your loss and ours. I hope you will continue to reach out into the fiddle community for support and embrace.

We met both Bill and Pam through music. We loved Bill”s songs, voice and guitar. He will be missed. So sorry for your loss and that we will still be in Canada on the 28th.

Although I hadn’t seen Bill for many years, not since my time in Lowell and Billerica, I was still saddened to hear of his passing. Bill was an outstanding musician and a good man. May his memory be for a blessing.
