TOPSFIELD- William G. Van Buskirk, 91, passed away on June 14, 2016 at Hathorne Hill in Danvers. He was the husband of the late Rosemary (Jordan) Van Buskirk with whom he shared 51 years of marriage. Born in Topsfield on September 30, 1924, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Helen (Taylor) Van Buskirk. William was a lifelong resident of Topsfield. He served our country as a Staff Sergeant with the United States Air Corp during WWII and was honorably discharged in 1946. William was employed for many years as a service technician for Pyrofax in Topsfield. He had a passion for motorcycles. He is survived by his three children, Deborah Mahoney and her husband, Raymond of Georgetown, Pamela Cornish and her husband, Daniel of Topsfield and Lesley Van Buskirk of Topsfield, three grandchildren, Shane Mahoney and his wife, Janina of Amesbury, Darby Hery and her husband, Christopher of Haverhill and Katharine Van Buskirk of Topsfield. A Graveside Service was held privately in Pine Grove Cemetery in Topsfield. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in William’s name to a charity of one’s choice.
