William "Sonny" Christiansen

William F. “Sonny” Christiansen, 65, of Danvers, died unexpectedly at home in Danvers on October 15, 2019. He was the loving companion of Catherine Boulas for nearly thirty years and the devoted father of Deanna Christiansen. Born in Salem on Oct. 21, 1953, he was the son of Carl and Alice (Rybicki) Christiansen. He was raised and educated in Danvers, attending Saint Mary of the Annunciation School, and was a graduate of the Beverly Trade School. He was a lifelong resident of Ash Street. Sonny worked for many years as a skilled finish carpenter. He was especially devoted to animals, always eager to help anyone or any creature in need. He also enjoyed cars and motorcycles, gardening, and being with his family. In addition to his companion, Catherine, and daughter, Deanna, both of Danvers, he leaves a loving extended family and many dear friends. A celebration of Sonny’s life will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019 from 11AM - 2PM at the Polish Club, Cheever St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals at www.aspca.org.
