Frederick B. Tremblay, 84, died Saturday morning, October 7, 2017 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House. He was the loving husband of Barbara J. (Sauchuk) Tremblay, with whom he shared sixty-three years of marriage. Born in Danvers on June 19, 1933, he was the son of the late Edward and Anna Mae (Murphy) Tremblay. He was raised and educated mostly in Danvers and was a longtime Danvers resident. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Fred was employed for many years by Tilcon in Watertown. Following his retirement, he worked at Auto Sound in Middleton. He enjoyed crossword puzzles and word searches. In addition to his wife, he leaves two children, John Tremblay and his wife Dawna of Colorado and Dorothy Fortin of Salem, three grandsons, Daniel, Christopher and his wife Perstephanie, and Bryan, two great-grandchildren, Kevin and Clarissa, his siblings Leonard, Edward, and Margaret Tremblay, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son-in-law, Ernest Fortin. His Funeral Service will be Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 11AM in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Burial will follow in Saint Mary Cemetery, Salem. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 10AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Fred’s name may be made to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty St., Danvers, MA 01923.
