Frank Malski

April 6, 1932 ~ April 20, 2020
Frank Malski Jr, 88, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2020 at Bridgeport Hospital in Bridgeport CT.
He was born April 6, 1932, in Danvers, the son of the late Frank and Stacia (Jarski) Malski.
He was a graduate in the class of 1950 at Danvers' Holten High School. He then went to Cheshire Academy in Cheshire CT. In 1952, he enlisted in the Army where he served in the Korean War as a Morse Code Interceptor. After honorable discharge in 1955, he attended and graduated from Franklin Technical Institute with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He was a dedicated employee of the US Postal Service for 36 years until his retirement in 1992.
Friends will remember Frank's great athletic abilities and speed on the football field, baseball diamond and running track; He was an avid champion candlepin bowler appearing numerous times on Bay State Bowling and Candlepin Bowling Television shows in the 1970’s; and built strong friendships with his teammates at Sunnyside Bowladrome. But, he was always happiest while dancing a polka with the love of his life, his wife Gladys. Along with all those memories, his family will forever remember him for the love and caring devotion he had for her.
Frank is predeceased by his wife Gladys (Palen) who he loved and cherished for 57 years of marriage.
He will be greatly missed by his son James Malski and his wife Kathryn of Stratford CT; and his daughter Linda Murphy and her husband Thomas of Concord NH.
His love will carry on in his grandchildren Kelli Pierce and her husband Richard of Concord NH; Lauren Kelly and her husband Matt of Milford CT; Brian Malski of Hurricane UT; Sean Murphy and his wife Rita of Londonderry NH; Tracey Riel and her husband Tim of Webster NH and Kristen Malski of New Haven CT. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren Luke and Noah Pierce and Ayla Kelly.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
Frank is my cousin. We had relatively few contacts in the last couple of years, but he was always a great reminder of my mother’s family and our Polish heritage. I was always proud of him and I regret that I didn’t see him more in the last couple of years. He was quite an athletic fixture in Danvers for many years as well as a faithful postal worker respected by thousands.
Linda and Jimmy,
We send our deepest sympathy to and your family on our friend Frank’s passing.
We had many a happy memory of working at the Danvers Post Office with Frank and the crew. We have lost a dear friend. With Love, Prayers , and Friendship,
