Albert J. Le Vasseur

Albert J. Le Vasseur, 80, of Danvers, died Friday evening, June 9, 2023 at Mass General Hospital in Boston following a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Margaret (Croke) Le Vasseur, who predeceased him in 2020. Al was born in Salem to the late Philippe and Irene (Dupuis) Le Vasseur. He was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of the former Saint Joseph High School. He served honorably in the U.S. Air Force following his graduation. Al began his working career at Sylvania before moving on to General Electric. After transitioning to AMETEK, he retired from the Wilmington plant after many years of service. A Danvers resident for over fifty years, he was a Danvers Auxiliary Police Officer for nearly two decades and a faithful communicant of Saint Richard Church. He leaves two brothers, Robert Le Vasseur of Salem and Ronald Le Vasseur of Ipswich, a sister-in-law, Marie Susan Croke of Peabody, and his nieces and nephews, Danielle, Lisa, Amy, Lori, Tom, Peter, and their families. He was predeceased by a sister, Alma Le Vasseur. His Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at 10:30AM in Saint Richard’s Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation will be Tuesday morning from 9-10AM in C.R.
