Alfred P. DeAngelis
December 6, 1939 ~ January 31, 2023
Alfred P. DeAngelis, Jr. of Saugus, Massachusetts passed quietly at home after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Born in Boston on December 6, 1939, he was the son of the late Alfred P. DeAngelis, Sr. and Margaret (Schena) DeAngelis of Revere. Alfred is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Holly (Citroni) DeAngelis. Brother of the late Elaine (DeAngelis) Gordon. He is also survived by his younger brother, Stephen, and wife Ghislane of Nahant. His children include Deborah and husband Dr. Louis Giorgio of Newburyport, Donna and husband James Ricciardelli of Denver, CO and son, David DeAngelis and wife Valerie (Sofronas) DeAngelis of Saugus. His grandchildren include Louis and Michaella Giorgio, Jillian (Ricciardelli) Hope, Kaley Ricciardelli, Lindsay Ricciardelli, and his youngest grandson, Anthony DeAngelis with whom he spent many Saturday mornings enjoying breakfast. Alfred was also the loving brother-in-law to Todd Citroni and his daughter Angelina Citroni both of Saugus.
Alfred was a Master Plumber who owned a successful business and enjoyed years of experience in his profession, sharing his love of this industry with his son David.
He and his loving wife Holly enjoyed many years of skiing, boating and he was a member of Orient Heights Yacht Club, as well as their second home in Del Ray, Florida. They traveled extensively and especially enjoyed their trips to Italy and Aruba.
Throughout his life, Alfred enjoyed the company of his beloved nieces and nephews whose love provided great joy, especially his niece, Lisa (Gordon) Kalloch of Revere. He enjoyed watching his extended family grow from one generation to another. His many friends also brought him enormous pleasure, keeping up with one another’s life happenings and meeting for coffee or lunch.
He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
His Funeral Service will be held Monday, Feb. 6, 2023, at 11AM at C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Visitation will be held from 3-6PM on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Al's name to the Lustgarten Foundation, 415 Crossways Park Dr., Woodbury, NY, 11797.

I found out today that Alfred has passed. I remember him fondly, and always enjoyed his quick, sharp wit. To my dear friend Steve, I am extremely sorry for you and all of his family and friends.

Holly and family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss, Al did business with my husband Stanley for many years and also took care of our home, we always had so many laughs!! Al was a thoughtful and kind man.
