  1. Dear Shannon, Sean and Pat , My sincere and heartfelt condolences to you. Alvin was such a kind, generous man. I will never forget and will always miss his quick smile, his advice and his wit. He was by side in every horse crisis. He was such a wonderful father. He always bragged about his family. He was genuine and honest. I will never have another friend or confidant like him. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

  2. A Great Man he was. You could always count on Alvin to be there during the tough times. He would always lend you his hand to help. The Dunphy Family will truely miss him. The hours and times we spent on his front porch laughing and just enjoying life. We will miss you Alvin. Our prayers are with the Crowley family. So sorry for your lost.

  3. I shared many times with Alvin growing up. I will miss him but never foget so many hilarious escapades with him.

  4. I’m so sorry that I learned this news while I was away and that I missed Alvin’s funeral. Alvin was such a wonderful character and such a big part of the New England farrier community. It is hard to imagine a farrier event without him. He was such a great storyteller and he always livened up every visit with some kind of kicker of a story. I was so lucky to know him, and I always looked forward to what he and Pat had to share. I loved visiting their house in Danvers for farrier meetings. If there is a place in heaven where great horses go when they die, I think they all must be getting together to figure out a way to get Alvin Crowley assigned to their part of heaven. Horses know a good man when they meet one and so do I. We’ll never forget you, Alvin! Life was more interesting with you in it.

  5. Dear Pat and family- I was sad to hear of Alvin’s passing. I enjoyed re-connecting with him and talking about old times and family…… He will be greatly missed…. Mike and Gail Nelson
