Andrew Maioli

Andrew Robert Maioli, 68, passed away April 4, 2010 following an 18 year battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was the husband of Rosemary (McMullen) Maioli with whom he shared 44 years of marriage. Born in Boston on Nov. 5, 1941, he was the son of the late Frank and Frances (Corsile) Maioli. Andrew was raised and educated in the West and North End in Boston. He served his country with the United Sates Army in Korea from March 14, 1961- March 13, 1964 and was honorably discharged. Mr. Maioli resided in Medford for much of his life and raised his family there until retiring to Danvers. He had been employed as a Master Electrician with Local 103 IBEW for over 30 years. Andrew also was a musician and played the drums with many bands including, The Mark V, The Times, New Friendship Band, Eddie Man Trio, and Decades. Besides his wife, Rosemary, he is survived by two sons, Andrew T. Maioli and his partner George Scleparis of NV, Christopher Maioli and his wife Gulmira of Beverly, a daughter and son-in-law Michelle and Salvatore Fazio of Danvers, a brother Larry Carresi of the Philippines, grandchildren, Nicholas and Casandra Fazio and Andrew C. Maioli and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Joseph Maioli. Visiting Hours are Thurs., Apr 8, 2010 from 4-8PM and a Wake Service and family memories being shared at 7PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited.
Rosemary I was so sorry to hear of Andy’s passing.Ritchie called me Sunday morning and told me. Please accept my condolinses, as I cannot attened the wake.Both you and Andy will be in my prayers.
Rosemary and family, We are so saddened by Andy’s passing. We just wish we could be there for you but will see you next month. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Andy was such a good friend and will be sorely missed. We are remembering all the happy times spent with him, the fun on Third St., our monthly dinner get-togethers and the dances at the Shriners.
