Angelina Listro

Angelina (Catanuso) Listro, 99, died Tuesday, May 6, 2015 in the Kaplan Family Hospice House. She was the loving wife of the late Michael Listro, who predeceased her on April 18th after 77 years of marriage. Born in Boston on Feb. 8, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Serra)Catanuso. She was raised and educated in Boston and Revere and was a longtime Danvers resident. An accomplished homemaker, she was skilled at the culinary arts and enjoyed gardening. She loved her family and was known for her wonderful sense of humor. She was a longtime member of the Assembly of God in Beverly. She leaves three children, Emanuel Listro and his spouse Nancy Kennedy of New Hampshire, Josephine Pommet and her husband Dana of Florida, and Michael Listro and his fiancée Laura Towey of Danvers, her grandchildren, Lisa Pelonzi and her husband Michael of Danvers, Lauren Rothwell and her husband Matthew of New Hampshire, Christopher Listro and his wife Ruth of Newburyport, Christopher Listro of Beverly, and Andrea O’Brien and her husband Julian of Beverly, eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two daughters-in-law, Barbara and Elizabeth Listro, and her siblings, Nemo, Rose, May, James, and Joseph. Visiting hours are Sat., May 9, 2015 from 2-5PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Relatives and friends are invited. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty St., Danvers, MA 01923.
