Anita M. Webb

MANCHESTER, NH- Anita M. (Phinney) Webb, 95, passed away on December 21, 2014 in the Kaplan Family Hospice House. She was the wife of the late Edward J. Webb.
Born on July 31, 1919 in Middleton, Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Harris and Gladys (Bezanson) Phinney. Anita was raised and educated in Danvers and graduated from Holten High School in 1938. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Methodist Church in Danvers. Anita had been employed at the former Nissen Crayon Factory and Ideal Baby Shoe Factory. She helped create the Lazy Eye Clinic, volunteered at the American Red Cross, the Women’s Church Group and Girl Scouts. Anita enjoyed gardening, oil painting and traveling.
She is survived by her four children and their spouses, David and Judith Webb of Redmond, WA, Joan and Joseph Stavre of Manchester, NH, Nancy and Roland Couillard of Seabrook, NH and Tina and Ken Sweet of Madison, NH, her siblings, Charles Phinney of FL, Florence Esposito of TN, 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Edward J. Webb, Jr., her sister Thelma Bates and brother Harris Tremaine Phinney.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015 from 1-4PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St Danvers MA. Her Funeral Service will be celebrated on at 11AM on Monday, January 5, 2015 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Holten Cemetery, Danvers. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty St., Danvers, MA, 01923.
