Annette M. Blanchette

Annette Marie (Dumais) Blanchette, 91, died Thursday, January 30, 2013 in the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a lengthy illness.
Born in Salem on April 18, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Philippi and Elmira (Beaulieu) Dumais. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Saint Joseph’s Academy. A longtime resident of Salem, she had resided in Peabody for the last 25 years.
A communicant of Saint John the Baptist Church in Peabody, she was a faith-filled woman who loved and cared deeply, devoting her life to family. She was a multi-talented lady who enjoyed crafts, knitting, sewing, cooking, dancing, and travel to the north. Most of all, she loved her grand and great-grandchildren. She will be lovingly remembered as Memere.
She is survived by her children, Janice Y. Blanchette of Peabody, Paul R. Blanchette and his wife Christine of Newburyport, and Mark A. Blanchette of Boston, her grandchildren, Michael R. Blanchette and his wife Allyson of Cary, NC and Stephen P. Blanchette and his wife Jeannine of Newburyport, her great-grandchildren, William, Matthew, Zachary, Nicholas, and Andrew, her sister, Ida Theriault, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Rose Pelletier, Alvina Dumas, Marie Denis, and John Dumas
As requested, funeral services are private. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date in Saint Richard Church, Danvers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Saint Basil Salvatorian Center, 30 East St., Methuen, MA 01844.
