Anthony J. Roberto, 97, of Peabody, died Friday morning, March 11, 2011 following a brief illness. Born in Topsfield on April 3, 1913, he was the son of the late Alfonso and Grace (Paglia) Roberto. He was raised and educated in Beverly and Revere and was a graduate of Revere High School. A successful entrepreneur, Mr. Roberto owned and operated the Tremont Pharmacy in Peabody, the Golden Anchor in Middleton, and the Golden Circle in Lynn. He also owned and operated the Service Bus Line of Revere. He is survived by a brother, Frank Roberto of Peabody, four nieces, Lydia Kapamagian-Scarbriel, Aida Grace Mazzola, Judy Egan, Mary Ann Raisman, two nephews, Alphonse Pelonzi, and Alphone Roberto. He was predeceased by two nephews, Samuel Roberto and Gerald Pelonzi. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11AM in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Sunday from 5-7PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. I was sorry to hear of uncle Tony’s passing. He was a good man. My thoughts and prayers go out to Family. Darleen I wish I could be there for you and yours. I love you, Kelly
