Antonette L. Strangie

Antonette L. (Pirone) Strangie, of Danvers, a longtime Saugus resident, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2024, at the age of 88. She was the wife of John F. Strangie, Sr. of Danvers.
Born on April 12, 1936, in Boston, to Gennaro and Filomena (Macchia) Pirone, Antonette was raised in Brighton, where she was a graduate of Brighton High School and went on to study at Emmanuel College.
A devoted mother and grandmother, Antonette's life revolved around her loved ones. She found immense joy in cooking delicious meals, exploring new restaurants, traveling to new destinations, and basking in the serenity of the beach. Her commitment to family was unwavering, and she treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter.
Antonette leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She is survived by her three sons, John Strangie Jr. of Danvers, Philip Strangie and his wife Teresa of Tewksbury, and Mark Strangie and his wife Theresa of Plymouth. Her nine grandchildren, Nicholas and his wife Brittany, Alexandra and her husband Evan, Joseph, Jack, Maria, Michael, Rachael, Christine, and Julia, brought her endless happiness, and she adored each of them dearly. She also leaves a great-granddaughter, Charlotte, and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to her funeral service on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 11 a.m. at C.R. Lyons and Sons, Funeral Directors, located at 28 Elm Street in Danvers Square. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
