Arie Keus

Arie Keus, 79, passed away on November 28, 2014 in the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, MA. He was the husband of Alba (DiScipio) Keus, with whom he shared 42 years of marriage. Born in Holland on March 27, 1935, he was the son of the late Johannes and Petronella (Schaap) Keus. Arie was an inventor and holds many patents in water desalination technologies. He was a vital engineer in clean energy projects. Arie was also extremely active within his community, assisting whenever he could. He is survived by nine children and their spouses, Marianne Pronko of Lynn, Andrea and Kevin O’Neill of Lynn, Robin and Cynthia Keus of Maine, Erwin and Jean Keus of NC, Sue-Ellen and Walter McKinney of FL, Marion and Davis Mendelsohn of Middleton, Michael and Jennifer Keus of NC, John and Tuyen Drury of GA and Mark and Chitra Drury of Singapore, his siblings, Immet Scheelings of Netherlands and Jan and Lise Keus of Norway, fifteen grandchildren and one great grandson. Visitation will be held Monday, December 1, 2014 from 3PM-6:30PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Friends and family will share words of remembrance from 6:30-7PM. All other services are private.
