Arthur Lund

Arthur R. Lund, 80, passed away Thursday, May 13, 2010 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House. He was the husband of Geraldine (Griffin) Lund with whom he shared forty-seven years of marriage. Born in Seattle Washington on June 8, 1929, he was the son of the late Arthur and Ruth (Russell) Lund. Mr. Lund was raised and educated in Seattle. Arthur joined the United States Air Force upon graduating from high school. Arthur served our country for over twenty four years with the Air Force and was stationed in the Aleutian Islands, Alaska and Spain. He retired as a Senior Master Sergeant in 1972. Arthur also was employed at Salem Hospital for over twenty years as a business manager in the x-ray department. He had been a resident of Danvers for nearly forty years and a member of the Victoria Rocci Post in Beverly. Besides his wife, Geraldine, he is survived by two sons, James A. Lund of CA, John “Jeffrey” J. Lund of Danvers and two daughters, Lorene C. Studwell of VA and Merrilee Klages of NJ , several grandchildren and a few great grandchildren. A Funeral service will be held at 11am on Mon., May 17, 2010 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Vst. hrs are Sun. from 3pm-7pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made in Arthur’s name to Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA. 01923.
