February 7, 1937 ~ December 27, 2024

Born in: Lynn, Massachusetts
Resided in: Danvers, Massachusetts

Audrey I. (Robinson) Michaud, 87, in Peabody, formerly of Danvers, died on Friday, December 27, 2024 after a three-year struggle with dementia. She leaves behind her loving husband of 52 years, Roger E. Michaud.

Audrey grew up in Lynn, attending St. Mary’s elementary and high schools.  She graduated from the Salem Hospital School of Nursing and earned her RN at Boston College.  Audrey took great pride in her role as a nurse, serving in multiple hospitals in the Lynn area.   She also enlisted in the US Air Force, retiring as a captain.  Audrey’s deep connection to her Catholic faith also led to a three-year period as a Religious Sister of Saint Joseph, before she rejoined lay life and continued her career in nursing.

Audrey was a lifelong athlete and loved tennis, boating, skiing and especially walking.  She was best known for her love of family and friends and dogs.  She was a favorite “Auntie” to her nieces and nephews, and to generations of children growing up in the Bayberry Road neighborhood in Danvers where she and Roger lived for fifty years.

Audrey had deep roots in Danforth, ME, where her grandmother Lottie Rowe and father Charles Robinson were raised.  The people and the beauty of Hot Brook Lake combined to form a happy place to which she returned as often as possible throughout her life.

In addition to her husband Roger, Audrey is survived by her nephew Mark Russell Prior and his wife Abby (Russell) of Concord, MA, niece Mary Beth (Prior) Coles and her husband Rob of Stoneham, MA, nephew Keith Prior and his wife Domingas (Silva) of Brockton, MA, nephew Robert Michaud and his wife Christine of Kingston, NH, niece Victoria (Michaud) Richard and her husband Eugene of Kingston, NH, as well as many other loving nieces and nephews. Audrey was predeceased by her sister, Louise C. (Robinson) Prior.

Guestbook

  1. Roger and Family,
I am saddened by the news of Audrey’s passing and send along my deepest condolences and sympathy to
all of you. She was quite the busy lady during her working years, a Religious Sister of Saint Joseph, a Captain
in the Air Force, and a nurse!! That’s quite an accomplishment, to serve ones community, church, and country,
    quite the legacy!!
I will be there with you, Roger, in spirit and prayer as you all say “goodbye” to Audrey, With Love, Bev

  2. Roger and family
I will always treasure memories of you and Audrey on Hot Brook Lake over many years. I loved our morning walks with friends and many dinners together and so many good times. I’m sorry I can’t be with you to say goodbye but my thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
    Love
    Claire

  3. Dear Roger,
You and Audrey always touched my heart whenever we were together.
With each visit, your stories, warmth, kindness, and love left me feeling inspired and appreciated.
Etched in my mind forever is that after each visit, Audrey would walk me to the door to make sure
I got safely in my car, with a kiss blown to me, and “love you”.
I am so blessed to have known Audrey – she is now resting in peace.
    Love,
    Susan Grady

  4. Audrey is such a big part of my growing up. She was always there and always with a smile! She will be missed! my heart goes out to the family and especially Roger. Love always. Casey
