Barbara H. Peicott

Barbara H. (Duffy) Peicott, 82, died unexpectedly on Saturday, December 28, 2013. She was the loving wife of the late Paul R. Peicott, Jr., with whom she shared fifty-eight years of marriage. Born in Lynn on Feb. 21, 1931, she was the daughter of the late James and Selma Duffy. She was raised and educated in Lynn and New York City and had been a longtime resident of Danvers before moving to Newburyport. For several years, she was employed as an administrative assistant in Boston. A member of the former Catholic Mr. & Mrs. Club of Danvers, she enjoyed wintering in Port St. Lucie with family and close friends. She is survived by her sons, Dr Paul Peicott and his wife Mary of Danvers, Richard Peicott and his wife Leah of Georgetown, Robert Peicott and his wife Shelly of Newburyport, and Kevin Peicott of Haverhill, her daughter-in-law, Casey Peicott of Newburyport, her sister, Margery St. Pierre of Peabody, her brother, Robert Duffy of New Jersey, her grandchildren, Joe, Carly, Michele, Jennifer, Melanie, Andrea, Lindsey, Paul, Anna, and Meghan, three great-grandchildren, Olivia, Sienna, and Elianna, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sons, Joseph, John, and Michael Peicott. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at 9AM in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Saint Mary Cemetery, Salem. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Monday from 4-7PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square.
