Barbara L. Bouras

DANVERS-Barbara L. (Warrington) Bouras passed away on her 90th birthday, March 29, 2023 following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Charles J. Bouras with whom she shared 57 years of marriage.
Born in Peabody on March 29, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Irving and Edna (Keller) Warrington. She was raised and educated in Peabody and graduated from Peabody High School. Barbara had been a baker at the Bishop Fenwick High School for many years where she was famous for her giant chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies.
She was the ultimate homemaker. She was quite talented in the kitchen especially when it came to Greek cooking. No-one ever left her home hungry and there was always a place at her table for anyone who needed a hot meal. She was an avid reader, and she also enjoyed traveling with her husband to Greece, Las Vegas and Atlantic City.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and had a heart of gold.
She is survived by three children, James Bouras and his wife, Kelly of Mansfield, Charles Bouras and his partner, Cheryl MacPherson of Danvers and Kathy Bouras and her partner Ron Regan of Danvers, two grandchildren Suzanne Cinelli and her husband, James and James Bouras and his wife Laura and four great grandchildren who were the light of her life – Jackson and Austin Cinelli and Sydney and Kensley Bouras. She was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Langill.
Her Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at 11AM with visitation to be held prior to the service from 9AM-10:45AM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Harmony Grove Cemetery in Salem. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barbara’s name to a charity of one’s choice.
