Born in: Boston, Massachusetts
Resided in: Danvers, Massachusetts

Brendan J. Quealy, Jr., 67, of Danvers, died peacefully on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at his home.

Born in Boston on January 29th, 1959, he was the son of the late Brendan and Priscilla (Colvin) Quealy, Sr. Brendan was raised and educated in Danvers and graduated from Danvers High School. Until the time of his retirement, he worked for the Mass Turnpike Authority as a Highway Foreman, dedicating many years of service.

If you were lucky enough to know Brendan, you were his friend. He had so many friends  that meant the world to him. He had long lasting friendships that started in childhood, and he made many more along the way. If you needed him, he was there for you. He loved life and made the most of it. Brendan was also a dedicated New England Sports fan, he enjoyed watching and going to games with Michael, Mark, and the Pats Crew. He loved going on hikes with Katelyn. He deeply appreciated the outdoors and the mountains, finding great joy in skiing, and hanging out at the lake with his friends.

Brendan also loved music. If it was playing, he was most likely singing.   Above all, Brendan was a warm and kindhearted man who was truly loved by all who knew him. His signature hugs had a way of making everything better.

A devoted father, and grandfather, Brendan’s greatest joy in life was his family. His daughter and son meant the world to him. The birth of his two grandchildren made his life complete. He loved being their “Bumpa”. He’d drive an hour just for a quick hug before PJ went to school, because to him, no moment with his grandchildren was ever too small to matter.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Quealy; his two children, Katelyn Quealy and her husband, Michael Kourmanopoulos, of Sharon, and Michael Quealy and his wife, Izzy, of Peabody; his cherished grandchildren, PJ, affectionately known as “Buskaboo,” and Peter, lovingly called “Biddyboo”; his sister, Anne Villemaire; and his three brothers, Brian, Mark, and Matthew Quealy. He also leaves his best friend, Richard Peicott, along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Richard’s Church, 90 Forest Street, Danvers. Visiting hours are Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at C.R. 4. Very sorry to see this, and way too early! May B.J live on in all the memories we have of him. I, for one, had some very memorable moments, and incredibly hilarious times. He will be missed.

  5. Heartfelt, deepest sympathy to Brendan’s entire family. I grew up with him on Roosevelt Ave. We went to school together. I’m sure that I still have a couple pictures of his family with mine. I always like Brendan, he was so kind to me. In his eyes you could truly feel his love of life. I wish that I could have remained friends longer. I loved his mom Priscilla. (RIP) Every time she went out to walk she would stop by to talk.

Brendan was taken too soon and will be missed by all that knew him.
