Bruce A. Talbot, 74, a lifelong Danvers resident, died Thursday evening, December 22, 2022 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, with his daughters by his side. He was the beloved husband and high school sweetheart of the late Lynda J. (Prodanek) Talbot, with whom he shared forty years of marriage. Born in Danvers on October 7, 1948, he was the son of the late George and Laura (Williams) Talbot. He was raised and educated in Danvers and was a 1966 graduate of Danvers High School, where he and Lynda were voted, “Cutest Couple.” Bruce was employed for several years until his retirement as a patrolman with the Danvers Police Department. Even after his retirement, he enjoyed the camaraderie of his fellow officers. With his dear friend and brother-in-law, Billy Gardner, he then owned and operated Sleepy Hollow Mobile Home Park in Newmarket, NH for thirty-six years. Bruce enjoyed spending time on the water, especially at his camp on Mousam Lake in Shapleigh, ME and fishing on the ocean in his boat, “The Bumper.” He loved trips to Aruba, playing cards with friends, and occasional visits to a casino, but most of all he was devoted to his two grandchildren. Even in his illness, he never missed his granddaughter’s softball games, and loved that his grandson inherited his quick one-liners and witty sense of humor. He leaves two daughters and sons-in-law, Stacy and Corey Bazylinski and Julie and Kevin Donnelly, all of Danvers, two grandchildren, Brooke and Jonathan Bazylinski, his sister, Debbie Skinner, his brother, David Talbot, his sister-in-law, Kathy Gardner, his companion, Carol Reina and several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 10:30AM in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 4-8PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Guestbook

  1. We loved Bruce and Lynda and always will. We will miss Bruce’s quick wit and jokes. Their family will always be special to us. We love them dearly. Tom and Ruthann ❤️🙏

  2. My career in public service started as a public safety dispatcher with Danvers Police and Fire Department. I was assigned to the 5-1 shift where I work most of m shifts with Bruce. Bruce was one of the best officers I had the opportunity to work with. He know when he need to be serious and he also knew when to enjoy life and make the job fun. Danvers has lost an amazing man and a true townie. Rest in my friend. Until we meet again!!

  3. I met Bruce when I was in 6th grade. We became friends. A memory I had was the day I was outside Almys at Danvers Plaza and saw Bruce. He told me he wanted to ask out Lynda but didn’t know if she liked him. I told him I happen know that she does and you should ask her out. I bought a motor cycle and he saw me trying to get out of a side street so he stopped traffic in his police car so I could get onto the main St. He was such a good friend.

  4. I will always remember the parties at Bruce @ Lyndas house Mary and I loved those two Bruce led the funeral procession for Marys Dad in his cruiser to the cemetery She never forgot that!!!

  5. Our deepest condolences are with your and your family. Growing up on Pickering Street, there wasnt a time that we saw Bruce that he didnt smile, wave and say hello. He always seemed to be having fun, even if it was just in his yard…. which always looked so beautiful. Rest in peace. Dianna Glenn/Bucharowski
