Carmella M. (Duratti) Thibault

Carmella M. (Duratti) Thibault, 73, passed away surrounded by her family on September 3, 2013 in the Kaplan Family Hospice House. She was the beloved wife of Maynard Thibault, Jr. with whom she shared 55 years of marriage. Born in Salem on February 12, 1940, she was the daughter of the late William O. and Rose (Scialdone) Duratti, Sr. Carmella was raised and educated in Salem and graduated from Salem High School. Carmella had been a resident of Danvers for 45 years. She had been employed with Kmart as an office manager for over 25 years. Besides her husband Maynard, she is survived by her seven children, Deborah and David Harris of NC, Donald and Marcelle Soini of Georgetown, Ronald Soini of Raymond, NH, Wayne Thibault of Gloucester, David and Diane Thibault of Middleton, Linda and John Lippert of FL and Tracie and Shaun Finnegan of Fremont, NH, a brother William Duratti, Jr. of Danvers, a sister Trudy Pobiedzinski of Peabody, 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and her dog Moofi. Carmella’s Funeral Services are being held privately. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty St., Danvers, MA, 01923 in Carmella’s name.

I am so very sorry to hear about the passing of Carmella. She was such a wonderful woman. When I lived next door to her & her family on High Street I made wonderful memories that I will cherish always. She was so good to my children & to this day I am truly thankful to have met & known such a beautiful person!!! My thoughts & prayers are with Maynard & all the family. God Bless….. Sue Stanley

Just a short note to express my sadness for your loss. Kam was a wonderful, kind woman. I bowled with her for many years and also worked with two of her daughters Linda and Tracie. She was kind to all who knew her and will be missed. My thoughts are with the family at this sad time. Linda
