DANVERS- Catherine M. (Howard) Gallant, 82, passed away on November 30, 2015 in Kaplan Family Hospice House. She was the loving wife of Joseph N. Gallant with whom he shared 62 years of marriage. Born in Lynn on February 27, 1933, she was the beloved daughter of the late Thomas and Evelyn (Kent) Howard. She was raised and educated in Salem and Danvers. Cathy had been a resident of Danvers since 1965. She was a communicant of Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church. Cathy enjoyed cooking, sewing and especially spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Joseph, she is survived by her two sons, Norman Gallant of Springfield and David Gallant of Danvers, three grandsons, Evan Ross and Daryl Kent Gallant of Springfield and David Ian Gallant of New Smyrna Beach, FL, three siblings, William King of Peabody, Arthur King of NH and Mae Berreman of North Andover. She was predeceased by her sister Alice Sharp. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11AM on Saturday, December 5, 2015 in Saint Richard Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Hobart St., Danvers. Visiting hours are Friday from 4PM-8PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Catherine’s name to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA, 01923.
