Catherine (Steeves) Beckhusen

Catherine (Steeves) Beckhusen, 75, passed away on September 7, 2014 in Peabody Glen Nursing Home. Born in Salem on August 29, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Marjorie (Herron) Steeves. She was raised and educated in Salem and Beverly, having graduated from Beverly High School. Catherine resided in North Salem for most of her life. She had been employed as a dietitian for many years at several local nursing homes. Catherine enjoyed reading, knitting and most of all, spending time with her family. She is survived by four children, Linda Young and her husband John of Augusta. ME, Cynthia A. Beckhusen and her companion Stephen Munroe of Salem, Frank A. Beckhusen and his wife Cynthia of Salem, and David B. Beckhusen of Peabody, five grandchildren, Cassie and Carlie Beckhusen of Hampton, NH and Jenna, Hannah, and Hailey Beckhusen of Salem, two great grandsons, John Belanger, Jr. and Chase Hite, of Hampton, NH and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Thomas Steeves. Catherine requested that her funeral services remain private.
