Charles T. Gunn

78, passed away at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House with family by his side. He was the husband of Marjorie “June” (McCormack) Gunn with whom he shared 58 years of marriage. Born in Boston, he was the son of Rhoda (Goodhue) Gunn of Waltham and the late William E. Gunn. Charles served our country with the United States Army during the Korean War and continued to serve for another twelve years as a Sergeant in the Military Police Corps. After the Army, Charles was employed with Eastman Gelatine Corp. in Peabody. He resided in Danvers for over 35 years prior to retiring to Seabrook, NH. He leaves his wife and mother, his son, Charles Jr. and daughter-in-law, Christine Gunn of Groveland, his daughter, Cynthia and son-in-law, Stephen Pariseau of Beverly, his sister, Barbara Crummey of AL, four grandsons, Justin Pariseau, Matt Gunn and his wife Minka, Jon Gunn and his partner, Tiffany, Mike Whalen and his partner, Elysia and many nieces and nephews. Additionally, Charles is predeceased by his brother, William Gunn, Jr. of Ocala, FL. A Graveside service will be celebrated at 12:30pm on Fri., Nov. 27, 2009 in the Annunciation Cemetery, Hobart St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Merrimack Valley Hospice House, 360 Merrimack Street, Bldg. 9, Entrance I, Lawrence, MA 01843. Arrangements are made by C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers.
