Claire R. Jordan

Claire R. (Eaton) Jordan formerly of Danvers and The Herrick House Beverly peacefully went to be with the Lord on December 9, 2023 at the Lafayette Nursing Home after failing health.
Claire was born December 18, 1926 to Charles H. Eaton and Willena Stevenson Eaton at home in Woburn, MA. She grew up in Woburn graduating with honors from Woburn High School. After graduation she moved to Boston for work and lived at the Franklin Square House. During many years living in Danvers she belonged to several organizations on the North Shore. Serving as Chaplain for The Colonel Timothy Pickering Chapter of the DAR was a tremendous honor for Claire. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church of the North Shore. In her later years she enjoyed the weekly prayer shawl and infant caps knitting group. Previously, being employed in banking, she loved being the cashier and counting the money at the annual church fair and other fund raisers throughout the year.
She enjoyed vacationing on the Maine coast, luncheons with her friends, playing bingo, knitting, quilting and researching her genealogy. She especially loved spending time with her family.
Claire is survived by her daughter Suzanne Rocci of Arlington, VA, her son David Boyle of St. Petersburg, FL, four grandchildren Samantha Rocci of Washington, DC, Alexandra Rocci of Austin, TX, Sam Smith-Boyle of Framingham, MA and Vanessa Smith-Boyle of Washington, DC.
Claire’s family would like to thank Care Dimensions and her many friends for visiting her throughout the years.
A memorial service will be held in Claire’s honor on January 20, 2024 at 11:00AM at All Saints Episcopal Church 46 Cherry St. Danvers, MA. Weather permitting. Burial will be private.
