Cornelia "Corien" Evans-Hofman

Cornelia “Corien” Evans- Hofman, 78, passed away after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Neil A. Evans, with whom she shared 30 years of marriage. Born on January 19, 1945 in Geldrop, Netherlands, she was the daughter of the late Cornelis Jan Hofman and Anna Helena Scheepers. Corien was raised and educated in the Netherlands. She attended art school in Den Haag and earned her degree in art and sculpture and taught art for a while. Corien and her husband moved to California in 1998 and then to Massachusetts in 2005. She was a passionate artist and loved to paint. She also enjoyed nature, gardening and cooking. She had a real passion for animals and was wonderful with dogs of all shapes, sizes and dispositions. In addition to her husband Neil of North Andover, Massachusetts, she is survived by two sons, Tjarda Aarinksen and his companion Juana, Django Aarinksen and his companion, Julie, a brother Zjak Hofman, all of the Netherlands and many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. She was predeceased by two siblings, Els and Hans Hofman. Her Funeral service will be celebrated at 10AM on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at C.R Lyons &Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers, Massachusetts.   1. Vroeger samen met Anke, Corien en Neill in de bossen wandelen, paddenstoelen plukken en daarna daar samen soep van maken. Terwijl Corien op onze konijnen pastte, liet zij ze in haar kruidentuintje los waardoor ze zo rond als een tonnetje werden, zij wist zelfs voor konijntjes wat goed eten was… Heel veel sterkte nabestaanden! Nu ik haar creaties voorbij zie komen weet ik dat zij een deel is wat ook in mij zit. Dus Corien ik draag je voor altijd bij me.Veel liefs Jules
