Dale A. Ryan

DANVERS- Dale A. Ryan, 84, passed away in his home, surrounded by his family on December 7, 2022. He was the husband of Judith (McEwen) Ryan with whom he shared 32 years of marriage.
Born in Ellenburg, New York on May 6, 1938, he was the son of the late William and Katherine (Lord) Ryan. Dale was raised and educated in New York. He served our country with the United States Army and was honorably discharged. He had been a Danvers resident for over sixty years. Dale had been employed as a machinist for the former Eastman Gelatine for over thirty years. Dale was a self-proclaimed “tinkerer” and could fix anything. He loved to travel and enjoyed cross country trips on his motorcycle. He was a devoted grandfather and loved attending their activities.
In addition to his wife, Judith, he is survived by three daughters, Dianne Ryan and her partner Timmy Carr of Plaistow, NH, Doreen Wilson and her husband Michael of Matthews, NC and Denise Perron and her husband, Curtis of Salem, NH, seven grandchildren, Dan and Patrick Crowley, Mathew, Christopher and Kelly Wilson, and Cameron and Sean LeBlanc and his beloved great granddaughter, Cailyn Crowley, his siblings, Wayne Ryan (Wilberta), Sandra Vievia (Robert), Edward Ryan (Dianne), Roger Ryan (Cindy), Linda Ryan, Billy Ryan and Terry Ryan (Linda). He was predeceased by his siblings, Edwin, Ronald and Gary Ryan and Margaret Meagher, Barbara Gero, Jo Anne Jungers and Shirley Cashman.
Visitation will be held from 9:30AM-11:15AM on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. His Funeral Service will follow at 11:30AM in the funeral home. Burial will be held in Oakdale Cemetery, Middleton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Dale’s name to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers., MA, 01923.
Dale Ryan was an outstanding employee at Eastman Gelatine Corporation. He was very competent doing his job. He also very friendly to all. I will miss him.
