Dana S. Lord

Dana Sumner Lord, 63, died Wednesday, February 11, 2015 following a lengthy illness. He was the loving husband of Patricia (Mello) Lord, with whom he shared thirty-nine years of marriage. Born in Peabody on July 6, 1951, he was the son of the late Stuart and Ruth Lord. He was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody High School. He served honorably in the Army National Guard. For more than forty years, Dana was employed at General Electric in Lynn. He loved using and fixing computers. In addition to his wife, he leaves his beloved son, Jason Lord of Danvers, his brother, Stuart Lord, his sister, Debbie Kafulides, and several nieces and nephews. At Dana’s request, services were held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty St., Danvers, MA 01923 or the Danvers People-to-People Food Pantry, PO Box 2076, Danvers, MA 01923.
