Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Lou, Danny, Mary, Michael, Steven,Linda, Donna & Diane,
I am so saddened to hear about the loss of Dan. I know he has struggled these past years with many health challenges and now his struggles are over. But what I remember most about him was his quiet strength. I have so many memories of him .while we were growing up, fixing cars, mowing the lawn, tending the pool and too many others to list here. He never said much but he was always a presence.
I will share a memory that my father, Fran, shared with me about Dan. My mother , Clare, was going to the hospital to have one of us (don’t know which one) and his car wouldn’t start. My Dad ran over to the Weeders and Dan came right over & fixed the problem. He offered to follow Dad to the hospital or lend him his car just in case. Dad declined both offers but was extremely grateful for such generous offers and that he had a neighbor that was not only a very skilled mechanic but was willing to use that skill at the drop of a hat to help in a desparate situaion.
I have so many other fond memories of a fine quiet man who I know has found his reward. You all have my condolences and love.
    Mo Murphy-DeFeudis

  2. As a child when ever I visited their home Uncle Dan and Auntie Lou would treat me as if I was one of the kids.
    I will remember that forever.
    Love Bobby Petrino and family.
