Daniel T. Currier, 77, died Saturday, December 5, 2009 in the Beth Israel-Deaconess Medical Center. He was the loving husband of Pat (St. Hilaire) Currier, with whom he shared fifty-six years of marriage. Born in Beverly on June 21, 1932, he was the son of the late Thomas and Ethel (Campbell) Currier. He was raised and educated on the North Shore and was a graduate of Salem High School. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Mr. Currier was employed for nearly forty years by Sylvania where he worked at the Sylvan Street Plant. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club there. A Danvers resident for more than 55 years, he was a communicant of St. Mary of the Annunciation Church. He was a member of the Vittori-Rocci Post #56 in Beverly and the Knights of Columbus, Thomas E. Power Council #1505. An avid bowler and golfer, he was a member at Wenham Country Club and enjoyed traveling. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children and their spouses, Susan and David Gagnon of Georgetown, Eileen and Rick Ludwick of Newburyport, and Dana Currier and his wife Judi Carr of Danvers, a sister, Marcia Seery of FL, 8 grandchildren, Kristen Donovan, Nicole Gagnon, Kimberly, Kathleen, and Andrew Ludwick, and Tim, Matthew, and Geoffrey Currier, and 6 great-grandchildren. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009 at 9AM in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Hobart St., Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 4-7PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. Currier’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
