September 24, 1946 ~ November 3, 2024

Born in: Stoneham, Massachusetts
Resided in: Beverly, Massachusetts

Darlene Manson, 78, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2024, at Beverly Hospital following a period declining health. She was the devoted wife of the late Robert R. Manson.

Born in Stoneham on September 24, 1946, Darlene was the beloved daughter of the late Chester and Rose Cleveland.

A resident of Stoneham for much of her life, Darlene graduated from Stoneham High School and later dedicated many years of service as a secretary in the Stoneham school system. Her warm presence and diligent work left a lasting impact on the community she cherished.

Despite a decades long battle with Multiple Sclerosis, she held on to the joys in life—especially her love for travel. She was particularly fond of trips to St. Croix, where she could relax in the sun, and she had a passion for racquetball, which she enjoyed before her health challenges.

Above all, Darlene treasured her family and friends. She leaves behind a daughter, Carrie Zampitella of Danvers, and a son, Scott Manson, along with his wife Kelly of Melrose. Her memory will be cherished by her six grandchildren: Ryan, Shawn, Robert, Juliana, Samantha, and Francesca. Darlene is also survived by her two siblings, Clayton and Deborah.  She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Steven Zampitella.

Her Funeral Service will be Monday, November 11, 2024 at 11AM in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square.  Burial will follow in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, West Peabody.  Relatives and friends are invited.  Visitation will be prior to the service on Monday from 10:00AM to 10:45AM.  For directions or to share an expression of sympathy with Darlene’s family, please visit www.LyonsFuneral.com.
