Dave was definitely one of my favorite in-laws. He would often visit the Wade house at dinner time and always came in singing Heyy good looking, whatcha got cooking. Now I sing that every night while I cook dinner and think of him.
This past summer he parked his camper in our yard set up the awning and took a nap there in a lawn chair. I thought for sure that’s where he would be spending this summer enjoying watching his great-grand kids run around.
Sending so much love to all his family and friends. Im so greatful I got to be part of his family and get to know him so well. Dada you will be missed so much by so many.
I attended the ceremony for David and it was so beautifully done by his family. The readings were so moving and really described what David was like to his family. I met him through Chris and Susan Govoni and spent many holidays with him at their house. He was always ready for a new adventure and had a smile and good conversation. I know he is at peace and looking down at everyone with love. My condolences to his family at this time of loss and know that David always lives on in you and your memories.
I remember him when he dated my sister, Sandra Salomon, I was about 14 at the time, early 1960s. He
Would come to see her on his bike and always had to lean it against a telephone pole that was out front of our house,an old Triumph I think. Bike had no kickstand..
he was such a cool guy and a real gentleman. Very well liked by our whole family…
I am sad to hear of Dave’s passing. I had worked at the Gloucester VA for a few years and felt fortunate to know him. One year he shared that he and his wife were going cross country and he planned on catching up with some of the motor cross circuit friends while out west. I was happy to introduce him virtually with my friends that were racing in Virginia City. He spent some time with them in the cock pit and they sent me a photo of him with my friend’s son that was in the race. He had the biggest smile on his face. I always looked forward to catching up with him. Thanks for the memories, Dave. You will be missed.
