David H. Gannon, passed peacefully at home on August 12, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by Kathleen W. (Murray) Gannon, his loving wife of 62 years. Born in Boston on October 27,1936, he was the son of John and Helen (Callahan) Gannon. Brother to Robert and Marie Gannon of Andover, John and Mary Gannon (deceased) of CA. and Edward and Linda Gannon of RI. David served honorably in the U S Marine Corps from 1956-1958 and as a reservist until 1964. A graduate of Wentworth Institute, he was an employee of New England Telephone until his retirement. A longtime resident of Saugus, MA, he was an active member of Blessed Sacrament Parish, where he helped run and coached CYO basketball, served as a leader and treasurer of Cub Scout troop 68 for many years, and volunteered as a member of the parish marriage prep program. A resident of Danvers since 1994, he served as a eucharistic minister of Saint Richard Parish and a steadfast volunteer at the Danvers People-to-People Food Pantry for almost 20 years. In addition to his wife, David leaves behind his children, David M Gannon of Orlando FLA, Robert and Cara Gannon of Litchfield, NH, Thomas and Monika Gannon of Litchfield, NH, Mark Gannon and his loving partner, Amy Stomieroski of Saugus, Neil Gannon-Burke and his husband Michael of Waltham, and Kathleen Ammendolia and her husband Nicholas of Acton. Along with his 6 children, he leaves behind his grandchildren Liam, Corey, Courtney, Ashley, Kaitlyn, Patrick, Conor, Sean, Meaghan, and Ryan Gannon and Georgia and Dylan Ammendolia and his great granddaughter Kennedie as well as his many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Sunday August 21 from 4-7 at C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm Square Danvers, MA. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday August 22 at 10 AM at Saint Richard Parish, 90 Forest Street, Danvers, MA. Burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinson's Fitness, 46 Brittania Cir., Salem, MA 01970, the Danvers People-to-People Food Pantry, P.O.
