Born in: Peabody, Massachusetts
Resided in: Danvers, Massachusetts

David Hussey, 62, passed away on October 25, 2026, following a lengthy illness. He was the loving husband of Patricia (Rosa) Hussey, with whom he shared 38 years of marriage.

Born in Peabody December 9, 1963, David was the son of Donald and Mildred (Blatnicki) Hussey. Raised and educated in Peabody, he moved to Danvers in 1990.

David built a long career as a computer engineer at IBM, EMC, Dell, and Bruker. Never one to do anything halfway, he approached life with determination, independence, and an attention to detail that was uniquely his own. He took pride in his work and instilled those same values of hard work and perseverance in his children.

David volunteered with the Boy Scouts and enjoyed classic cars, local car shows, and flea markets. Above all, he cherished time with his family, especially his beloved grandson, Colton, who brought him immense joy.

In addition to his wife, Patricia, David leaves behind his children, Jennifer Hussey of Danvers and Christopher Hussey and his wife, Jessica, of Danville, NH; his grandson, Colton David Hussey; his sister, Judy Montague and her life partner, Robert of Billerica; dear friends Scott and Ellen Dornfeld; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Dennis Hussey.

Guestbook

  1. Judy, Patty & family,
Our thoughts & prayers are with you all!!! David made everyone he met smile big!!

  2. Rest in peace my dear Cousin. I pray God welcomes you with open arms and relieves you of your worries and pain.

  3. Patty, Jennifer, Chris, Jessica, Colton & Judy,
My siblings and I are so heartbroken for all of you. We have many fond memories of sharing holidays together as children. Cousin David was a sweet and kind kid and continued to be just as kind and sweet as an adult. He was always a Gentleman. David, may you rest in peace with our loved ones who went before you. You will be missed. 💔

  4. Dave was my counterpart and CE on our customer account for ~8+ years. He was my go-to for knowing their environment backwards and forwards and retaining the knowledge of all historical events. He always had a customer focused mindset. Everyone knew they could count on him. Dave was honest and professional and had the old school belief to help out anyone when he could…no matter what time of day. He was often the go-to for his fellow peers in the Northeast region. Although he didn’t always agree with corporate change, he still rolled with the punches and was always a good guy to be around. The world lost a good kind hearted man that understood relationships mattered more than simply completing a work task. Sending condolences to his family and friends.
