DANVERS- David A. Paglia, 84, passed away March 3, 2024 following a long battle with Parkinsons disease. He was the husband of the late Harriet (Perkins) (Birmingham) Paglia and the late Margaret (Hughes) Paglia. Born in Danvers on August 21, 1939, he was the son of the late Anthony and Grace (DeCotis) Paglia. David was a lifelong resident of Danvers. And graduated from Holten High School. He had been the owner of the Balcony Lounge in Peabody for many years. David was a social butterfly and was always dressed to the nines. David would liven up any room with his smile and quick wit; to know him was to love him. He loved swing dancing to big band music. He was also Celtic fan. David spent many years in Del Ray Beach, Florida and loved to walk the beaches there. As he aged, he decided to live with his daughter, Gina. He enjoyed dinners out with her, frequenting their favorite spots, Toscana, Daniella’s, Continental and Sylvan Street Grill. He is survived by his daughter, Gina Davis of Lynnfield his son, David Paglia of Salem his stepchildren, Daniel Birmingham and Deirdre Castle both of NH, his grandchildren, Michael David and his wife, Nicole, Mikayla Davis, Rhiannon Hardy and Timothy Castle, his great granddaughter, Eliana and sister-in-law Jean Paglia. He was predeceased by his brother Louis Paglia. His visitation will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 4-7PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors 28 Elm St., Danvers.
