Deanna P. Romsavich
January 5, 1949 ~ December 2, 2023
Deanna Patricia "Dee Dee" (Dullea) Romsavich, 74, passed away peacefully at her home in Danvers on December 2, 2023.
Born in Peabody, Massachusetts, on January 5, 1949, to the late Robert and Palma (Iavolo) Dullea, Dee Dee grew up in Salem and was a proud graduate of Salem High School, class of 1967.
Dee Dee's life was marked by her dedication to family and community. She shared 55 beautiful years of marriage with her husband, Robert E. Romsavich, and together they owned and operated Howard Foods Inc., nurturing it with the same care and commitment they showed in every aspect of their lives.
A trailblazer in her own right, Dee Dee was one of the first female members of the Danvers Kiwanis Club, and her involvement with the Sigma Phi Gamma sorority showcased her commitment to sisterhood, friendship, and service. Her leadership extended to the Danvers Family Festival Committee, where she served as a co-chair, and to the Ferncroft Country Club, where she was a past president of the Women's Golf Association. Her love for golf, skiing, and travel reflected her zest for life and adventure.
Dee Dee's elegance and kindness never went unnoticed, and she carried these traits even through her battle with Alzheimer's disease. Her commitment to advancing research was profound, participating in a clinical trial at Massachusetts General Hospital for nearly five years.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and service as a devoted wife, a loving mother and sister, and a doting Nana to her seven grandchildren. Her memory will forever be cherished by those who knew her and were touched by her grace, strength, and compassion.
In addition to her husband, she leaves two daughters, Natasha Coyne and her husband Kevin and Nicole Wodarski and her husband Christopher, all of Danvers, her grandchildren, Paige, Dylan, Cameron, Beckett, and Cooper Wodarski and Tanner and Braden Coyne, her sister, Palma Smiarowski, her brother, Robert Dullea, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Carl and David Dullea
Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 10AM in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Friday from 4-7PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd, Waltham, MA 02452. DeeDee was a sister to me for an incredible amount of years! We traveled, went camping and skied together as a family unit! All the fun parties and laughs will stay within my heart! As Bob said,” The Lord is receiving a special Angel!” and special she was! Love you Dee❤️
Natasha, so sorry for the loss of your mom. Sending prayers.

DeeDee was a special lady. We first met when Paige was born and I’ll never forget the smile on her face seeing her first grandchild. You could see over the years the love she had for Nicole and Tash. And the fun they had together golfing, dinner or the “occasional” trip to the casino! How proud she was of all her grandchildren was obvious. Clearly the love she shared for Bob was immense. Bob, you should be very proud for all you did for DeDee especially the last few years. Rest peacefully DeeDee.
Dee Dee was very friendly and a wonderful person. I will miss her. My sympathy to the family. Especially her husband Bob. May she rest peacefully.

Bobby, So sad to hear of the passing of Dee Dee. My heart goes out to you and your family at this time.
My memories of and with DeeDee go way back. Our camping trips, our whist tourneys, Sunday river golf outings, Sunday River boat races, softball games, parties at the Romsavich house. I could go on. I miss our times together, and I know DeeDee is remembering them now. I hope those memories and others will help with the grieving. Our love and prayers to the family. My Remembrance of Sister DeeDee
During her childhood on Aborn St. in Salem, DeeDee was the youngest & only girl of the four children in our family at that time. This environment helped to set the stage for her highly independent personality – which she demonstrated throughout her lifetime. Although she sometimes got in a little mischief with her slightly older brother David – she was always very happy – and I don’t recall her ever being upset or angry about anything.
And even at a young age she had this great smile – a truly endearing smile which was a life-long trademark of her loving & caring nature.
When DeeDee was 11 years old – she got one of the greatest gifts a young girl could receive– a real, baby girl that she could play with, pamper & help take care of — that, of course, was Sister Palma. This experience certainly formed the foundation for her being a great mother to her two wonderful daughters – Natasha & Nicole – as well as an adoring and most helpful grandmother to her seven grandchildren.
And I can recall my first meeting with her boyfriend Bob in our home on School St. in Salem. It was obvious he was the ‘love of her life’ the way she lit up like a Christmas tree when she introduced us. I was also somewhat impressed by the T-Bird I believe he was driving at that time.
Needless to say, we are ALL eternally grateful for the most devoted & loving care Bob provided DeeDee throughout her long battle with Alzheimer’s.
Although DeeDee is now with Mom & Dad – and probably cavorting with Brother David under the watchful eye of Brother Carl – she will continue to be deeply missed by all who knew her.
May she rest in the peace she so richly deserves.
With Love Always —Brother Bob
