Despina (Panopoulos) Martinez Pappos

PEABODY- Despina D. (Panopoulos) Martinez Pappos, 76, passed away on October 16, 2015 in the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. She was the beloved wife of Juan Martinez, with whom she shared over 30 years together.
Born in Boston on January 9, 1939, she was the daughter of the late George and Anastacia (Orgettas) Panopoulos. Despina was a lifelong resident of Peabody and graduated from Peabody High School. She had been a hairstylist for many years prior to working at Avnet in Peabody. She loved her cat, Cindy and grand-dogs, Brody and Nicki.
In addition to Juan, she is survived by her daughter, Catherine Boulas and her companion, Bill Christiansen of Danvers, her granddaughter Deanna Christiansen and extended family, Albert, Nicole, Linda, Elsie and Marisol. She was predeceased by her brother Anthony and Peter.
Visiting hours are Tuesday, October 20, 2015 from 4-7pm at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. All other funeral services are private.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your mom. She was a wonderful and beautiful woman. I am so happy to have gotten to know her. My thoughts and prayers are sent to you at this difficult time. I enjoyed the time we spent on my bus and will have these wonderful memories to hold onto.
