E. Louise Forsaker
December 21, 1946 ~ January 22, 2024
E. Louise (Porter) Forsaker, a cherished wife, sister, aunt, animal lover, and long-time resident of Danvers, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024, at the age of 77. Born on December 21, 1946, in Danvers, she was the beloved daughter of the late Delbert and Eleanor Walsh Porter.
Louise spent her formative years in Danvers, graduating from Danvers High School, and thereafter working at DevCon in Danversport for several years. She shared over 36 years of marriage with her loving husband, Jorgen Forsaker, building a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Known for her adventurous spirit, Louise had a passion for travel, exploring new places and experiencing different cultures. She was also deeply devoted to her family, especially enjoying time spent with her nieces and nephews, whom she adored.
She was also a member of the American Coaster Enthusiasts, where she combined her love for thrill and her enthusiasm for travel. It was in 1985 when she was visiting Blackpool, England with ACE that she met Jorgen, a fellow coaster devotee. After a two year courtship of letter writing and visits, they were married.
She worked as a housekeeper at ski resort in Duved, Sweden for almost two years and after returning to the US, worked in housekeeping at the Hogan Regional Center and then later as a nanny.
An ardent animal lover, Louise's compassion extended to all creatures, but she held a special place in her heart for her cat, Mr. Honey.
In addition to her husband, she leaves two sisters, Carol Vaccaro of Beverly and Debra Riley of Danvers, a brother, James Porter of Danvers, several nieces and nephews, and numerous dear friends.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Lorrence and Richard Porter.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024, at 11 a.m. at C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors. Visitation will precede the service, beginning at 10 a.m. In remembrance of Louise's lifelong compassion for animals, the family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Merrimack River Feline Rescue, 63 Elm St., Salisbury, MA 01952.
