November 7, 1945 ~ October 10, 2024

Born in: Beverly, Massachusetts
Resided in: Danvers, Massachusetts

Earl T. Allison, 78, a longtime Danvers resident, died peacefully on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House following a period of declining health. He was the beloved husband of Virginia “Ginger” (LeBlanc) Allison, who predeceased him in 2021.

Born in Beverly on Nov. 7, 1945, he was the son of the late Matthew and Barbara (Gangloff) Allison. He was raised and educated in Beverly and was a graduate of Beverly High School and Northeastern University.

Earl worked as a mechanical engineer until the time of his retirement.

A true “renaissance man,” he was adept at anything he attempted, whether it be carpentry, plumbing, or electrical work—he was a man who could fix anything.

A Danvers resident for nearly fifty years, he was quick to volunteer his time and talent in the community as a member of the Board of Appeals, with Boy Scout Troop 58, and with Danvers National Little League. He was also an avid car enthusiast and had an active role in Clan Donald New England for many years.

He leaves two loving sons, Earl Allison II of Danvers and Ian Allison and his wife Haley of Gloucester, a beloved granddaughter, Annika, his sister, Susan Allison, his brother, John Allison and his wife Anne Marie, and his brother-in-law, Henry LeBlanc.

At Earl’s request, funeral services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923. Arrangements are by C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Guestbook at www.LyonsFuneral.com.

  1. Our condolences on Earl’s passing. He helped me when I started as a state commissioner and as the regional commissioner. I always appreciated his help.
