Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. My wife and I met Miss Edna and her husband, Al after they moved to Melbourne, Florida and they soon became two of our dearest friends. Al was an avid golfer and the World’s Biggest New England Patriot Fan and Edna was a Fun Loving, Sweet Woman who was the Life of eacb and every get-together that we shared with them. The most lasting memories of Edna and Al that we have are those associated with our Weekly Monday Night Sing-Along Sessions. Each and Every Monday evening at precisely 7:00 PM Edna and Al would join us and a group of between 12 and 15 other neighbors and friends to a Group Sing-Along where we would sing all the Old Songs starting in the Gay-90″s all the way up to the early 60″s. Al played the Guitar until his arthritis set in and he switched to playing a Snare Drum. And Edna’s Strong, Sweet Voice always encouraged us more shy and reserved participants to Sing Out. Edna right to the very end of her ability to join us knew the words to each and every tune…by heart. Two of her favorite songs were “Heart-Of-My-Heart” and “Take Me Home Country Roads” . To this day our Group continues to sing together each Monday Evening and at the end of each session we sing a final song that we always dedicate to Edna & Al and the name of that sweet song from 1919 is “:Let the Rest of the World Go By” with the first line being “With someone like you a Pal so good and true” And those words some-up our relationship and fond memories of Edna and Al Plante….both Pals so good and True. RIP Miss Enda as you now are singing in the God’s Angels Choir with your Soul-Mate Al.
