To the family of “Elly” as she was so affectionately called by those of us from St. Mary
of Annunciation Parish who knew her.
For many years Elly was a Eucharistic minister at our Church and loved being of service in this capacity.
When she was no longer able to continue this Ministry she was able to receive Communion in her home. I was one of two women privileged to bring
her Communion at home for which she was very grateful.
She was a beautiful person both inside and out and always had a smile on her face.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
Please be assured of my prayers to all of you and may beautiful memories sustain you.
I would like to add a special quote that I hope will be meaningful to all of you.
“What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply
becomes a part of us.”
Helen Keller

So sorry for your loss. I loved sitting and chatting with Ellie. She had many interesting stories of life in the DC area in the 60’s. RIP
