Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Dear Cousins Donna and John, and entire Simard family,
I am so sorry for the loss of your sister Betty. To my family she was known as “Becky.” I will remember her as a giving, kind, confident and competent person and nurse. She gave of herself… from traveling to Chelsea to babysit my sisters and me when we were small, to accompanying and arranging a second opinion consult for a family member when she worked at UPenn Medical cntr in Philly, to the heartfelt letters she sent to each one of my sister’s and me just two years ago when my mom passed, even as you all were still grieving the loss of your sister, Peggy, the month prior. I recall one time in the early 70’s my mother giving her a ride to City Square in Boston so she could get the subway back to Northeastern Univ. after spring break. Ten years later, I also graduated from the same nursing program at Northeastern, and several professors remembered her and had nothing but glowing praise for her abilities. (Hard shoes to fill!) She was a wealth of medical knowledge as well as family history. Donna and Johnny and family…May God give you peace and strength with all the happy memories you have of her. Even from afar, you are always in my heart. God Bless you Becky.

  2. Betty was the kindest woman I have ever met!! I was so blessed to be her neighbor in Wilmington!! When my husband got sick she was there for my family. When he passed away she gave me and my daughters cards telling us how much their dad and my husband loved us! I know how much she loved her family ❤️ God got a special angel!
