Elva Linnea Nelson

Elva Linnea Nelson, 91, a resident of Ipswich for more than fifty years, died Sunday, May 26, 2013 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. Born in Malden on July 27, 1921, she was raised and educated in Malden and graduate from Simmons College with a bachelor’s degree in library science. She was employed as a librarian at the Winchester Library in Winchester until the time of her retirement. A member of the Ramakrishna Vedanta Society, she was also an active member of the Massachusetts State Poetry Society and the Ipswich Poetry Group. She is survived by distant cousins in Sweden and many dear friends from all over the United States. A celebration of Elva’s life will be held privately.
