Emilie B. Plankey

Emilie B. Plankey, 98, died early Friday morning, November 7, 2014. Born in Pittsfield on June 19, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Gustav and R. Clara (Schumann) Reiff. She was raised and educated in Pittsfield and was a resident of Lynnfield for more than forty years. She then was a Danvers resident for fourteen years. She was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her ten children, Francis Plankey Jr. and his wife Bonnie of Dudley, James Plankey of CT, Bertha Ross of AK, Patricia Mackey of Foxboro, Jean McAuliffe of Dorchester, Kathleen Beresky of Belchertown, Marie Plankey of Danvers, Lorraine Wolfram of Derry, NH, Elizabeth Wetmore and her husband Michael of Middleton, and Jo-Ann Ohlson of SC, her son-in-law, Michael Beresky, 19 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and her niece, Senta Canevari and her husband Richard of CA, and her nephews Homer May and his wife Betty of Sagamore Beach and Gus Crowell of FL. She was predeceased by her former husband, Francis W. Plankey, Sr., her daughter-in-law, Judy Movalli, her son-in-law, Bryant Ross, and her siblings Karl Reiff and Selma Crowell. Her Funeral Service will be Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014 at 11AM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9-11AM. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Emilie’s name may be made to the Friends of the Lynnfield Council on Aging, 525 Salem St., Lynnfield, MA 01940.
