Eunice G. (Russell) Gorman, 97, died Monday, October 1, 2012 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Clarence E. “Ed” Gorman. Born in Danvers on Oct. 26, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Elizabeth (Chute) Russell. She was raised and educated in Danvers and was a 1931 graduate of Holten High School. She was a dedicated homemaker who enjoyed cooking and crocheting. For several years, she worked at Brigham’s at the North Shore Shopping Center. She was a longtime resident of Danvers and had resided in Florida for twenty years. She is survived by two sons, Robert Gorman on New Hampshire and Ronald Gorman and his wife Donna of Haverhill, two daughters-in-law, Judith Gorman of Danvers and Rosalyn Gorman of New Hampshire, two sisters, Grace Nersasian of Florida and Jean Hersey of Danvers, a brother, Richard Russell of CA, 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two sons, Richard and Russell Gorman, and her brothers and sisters Benjamin Russell, Gordon Russell, Mildred Nutting, and Charlotte Bailey. Her Funeral Service will be Friday, October 5, 2012 at 10AM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will precede the service from 9-10AM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army, 93 North St., Salem, MA 01970.
